So this week has been our first week to get a delivery of organic fruits and veggies. I love it so far, but am definitely challenged by it to actually eat all of these good for us things. We are even sharing a third of it with a friend and it still seems like a lot. The menu so far has included besides a lot of salad a veggie soup, pork chops with cabbage and apples, garlic ravioli on chard, and tonight will be cheese soup (that has parsnips, potatoes, carrots and celeric). Any idea how to cut a celeric root? I will figure that out tonight. I also made this walnut/olive/oat bread that is awesome. It has the best texture. Cooking in the new kitchen is so fun. New knives and pots and pans are from Christmas help a lot too. Yes, this is probably like driving a new car, so fun for a while but then it becomes just a way to get to places. I really do like to bake though... so we will see. Anyways that leads me to my next soon coming blog... the almost finished kitchen.

We get our delivery through Organics to you, but I know that there is a company my sister uses in seattle/portland called pioneer organics. WE started out with the large box to share with a single guy every week, but now aregoing to every other week, it is 50 bucks a week...but with him sharing it works out to being less than what I buy regular, non organic veggies at the store. PArt of this is though I wouldn't have been buying so many veggies, but I love that it is making us eat more veggies in a better variety. Are you in Olympia yet?
thanks for the info about the veggies.
we are not in olympia yet, two more weeks, getting excited but nervous too.
